California Water Board-Approved Products
Trash capture devices approved for use by the California Water Board
Ferguson Waterworks is proud to offer an extensive line of stormwater products approved by the California Water Board. Certified and approved, these full trash capture devices are manufactured by Fabco Industries. Together, Ferguson Waterworks and Fabco offer the most comprehensive suite of California-compliant stormwater products and solutions in the marketplace. Meet stringent pollution control regulations and best management practices for municipal and stormwater markets.

StormTrough
When handling runoff entering a curb face inlet, rely on the California-approved stormwater product, the Stormtrough. Mount this unit to the inlet wall. When water enters the unit, the trough will capture it. Then it will direct the water to the StormSack filter bag. In comparison to similar devices from other manufacturers, the Stormtrough offers easier installation with fewer parts.

StormBasin
Mount this cartridge-based system within the inlet of a drainage structure. The California-compliant stormwater product houses media in high-flow cartridges. Then, the media removes specific pollutants such as 80% TSS, trash, sedimentation, bacteria, vegetation, and nutrients. In comparison to similar devices from other manufacturers, the StormBasin offers greater treatment and bypass. As a result, it requires less maintenance.

Connector Pipe Screens (CPS)
Treat water by trapping trash and debris with a Connector Pipe Screen (CPS). Approved by the California Water Board, this stormwater solution captures pollutants inside its catch basin, meanwhile allowing filtered stormwater to exit via the effluent pipe. FABCO CPS devices fit through a typical manhole opening and come in multiple configurations including Quick Release and StormRing. As a result, installation is easy for both new and existing catch basins.

StormSack - BMP, Plus, and Ready-Fit Configurations
StormSack is an excellent pre-filter at storm drain inlets, available in BMP, Plus, and Ready-Fit configurations. Furthermore, it is the ONLY drop-inlet device available in the marketplace with a frame that offers 12″ adjustability. As a result of its adjustable sizing, fit the modular StormSack trash capture in the field and adjust it to the proper size per real inlet dimensions and irregularities. StormSack BMP and Plus units adapt to various drain inlets such as grate, open curb, and manholes. Furthermore, they are sized for the inlet’s clear space opening, reducing maintenance. The BMP is a durable, welded-frame unit for standard stormwater filtration. Meanwhile, the Plus adds oil capture and extra protection for debris-heavy or high-traffic areas. Whereas the Ready-Fit prioritizes easy, on-site adjustability with a tool-free install and wide sizing flexibility. As a result, you can capture sediment, trash, and debris in stormwater runoff with ease.
- Select from 12″, 18″, 24″, or custom basket depth
- Choose between 5mm HDPE or high-flow geotextile
- Flange sizes are interchangeable for in-field retrofitting
StormBasket
StormBasket is similar to the StormSack BMP/Plus, however, it has a stainless steel basket. The robust, yet straightforward design offers seamless installation and minimal maintenance. Varying depths are available for the durable 14 gauge stainless steel perforated basket to better fit application specifics. Simply clean the basket by hand or with a vacuum truck. Standpipe
Similar to the Fabco StormBasket or StormSack BMP, Standpipe is a pre-filter device. However, it is retrofitted over vertical pipe. The compact design offers easy installation and maintenance, meanwhile supporting high flow rates. As a result, it is ideal for retrofits or new construction projects seeking to meet stormwater quality regulations.

Automatic Retractable Screen (ARS)
If you have an existing curb inlet, then consider integrating an ARS. Not only is installation straightforward, but it is also cost-effective. Furthermore, it remains in place during normal weather conditions to stop debris from entering the curb throat. Then, during high-flow events, it retracts automatically to prevent blockages.
*Please note, ARS is not California Water Board Approved.

ScreenBox
The ScreenBox grate inlet skimmer basket filters water via 3 screens. Furthermore, it traps sediment and debris that it contains in a dry state, thereby reducing potential septic conditions and minimizing material weight. This results in easier maintenance, space savings, and reduced disposal costs. It is ideal for extreme weather conditions or heavy-duty commercial use.
